October 8, 2020 - Update: Supply Glitch Temporarily Halts Resident-Student COVID-19 Testing
As a result of a testing kit supply glitch, the COVID-19 testing program for the afternoon of Thursday, October 8, could not proceed. As a result, the afternoon and Friday, October 9, sessions are cancelled to allow for ample time to ensure adequacy of supplies.
All tests on the morning of October 8 were conducted successfully and have been sent to the lab for analysis.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this unforeseen issue.
Testing will resume on Monday and all participants will be advised by email when new sign-up sessions are available.
Protecting the campus community remains the highest priority. Duquesne’s protocols in place have helped ensure a relatively low number of cases University-wide, an indication that our preventative measures are working. All of us must continue to commit to the Protect Duquesne pledge, practice good hygiene, maintain proper social distancing and wear masks. Be smart about your gatherings and keep them virtual or, if they must be in person, to small groups.
