March 1, 2020 – Duquesne Updates Policy regarding Students, Faculty, and Staff Per CDC Travel Health Notice Levels

March 01, 2020 at 7:00 a.m.

Duquesne University is updating our present policy regarding student, faculty and staff travel to and from places with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) travel health notice of level 3 or higher.

As of March 1, any Duquesne student or employee returning to the U.S. from a destination with a CDC travel health notice of level 3 or higher must self-isolate for 14 days prior to returning to the Pittsburgh campus.

Individuals must return to their homes or similarly suitable locations as a protective measure for themselves and others. If you have any questions, please contact University Health Services.

Destinations presently under a level 3 health notice include China, Italy, South Korea, and Iran. We continue to monitor CDC travel health notices for any changes.

Individuals should monitor for symptoms and, if any arise, contact their primary care provider.

The University is thankful for the steps many have taken to be helpful and supportive in ensuring safety and security of our community. We will continue to update as new and relevant information or policy developments arise.
